What it does, and where your data goes.
A goals app that measures silence.
goaldrift counts the days since you last wrote something about each goal. The goal you've ignored the longest sits at the top. No account, and nothing to keep up to date by hand.
The states
- 0–3 daysmoving
- 4–7 dayseasing off
- 8+ daysstalled
- blockedyou are waiting on someone or something
Stalled goals sit at the top of the list. The order is automatic — you can't drag it.
What restarts a goal
Write a note. Tick a step. Clear a blocker. Each one sets that goal back to zero days quiet and moves it down the list.
The chart
Every card shows the last 28 days, today on the right. A bar is a day you wrote something — write more than once and it grows. A thin line is a day you didn't. Red dots are the days since your last note; they hold off for the first three days, then count.
The number the dots end in runs the whole app: it decides each goal's state, and the order of the list.
The AI button
Unstick this sends that one goal — notes, steps, blocker — to gpt-4o-mini and returns 3 moves of 30 minutes or less, plus one line quoted from your notes so you can tell it read them.
Any move can be added to the goal as a step. Tick it off later and the app writes the note for you.
It runs on your OpenAI key, added in Settings. The key stays in this browser and is never kept on the server. OpenAI bills you directly.
The timer
A plain focus timer. Pick a length, work, and when it rings, write one line about the session and attach it to a goal — the session lands on that goal's chart as a bar.
Your data
Goals are saved in this browser, and nothing leaves it.
To move them, save your goals to a file in Settings and load it elsewhere — loading only adds what's missing, and the file never holds your key.
What it leaves out
No streaks, points, percentages, folders, chat or reminders. Just the days.
